SPOONFULS OF THOSE GOLDEN RAISINS: WORK BY ALEX CONNELLY
Exhibition Dates / July 29th-August 20th, 2016
Opening Reception / July 29th, 2016

Madison, WI— Drunk Lunch is pleased to present Spoonfuls of Those Golden Raisins, a solo exhibition of illustrations and works on canvas by Madison-based multidisciplinary artist Alex Connelly, on view at 807 East Johnson Street from July 29th through August 20th, 2016.

Alex Connelly’s goal as an artist is to create an environment in which the viewer will experience. You’re invited into the space, into an opportunity to peel back the wallpaper, to taste the stone floor, and to smell the scent of another’s life. Each mark and color is a conscious effort to move closer towards blurring the line between self and other. The artist asks you to converse with the art and to consider everything.

Alex Connelly was born in 1986 in Madison, WI. He completed his BFA at The University of Vermont in Burlington, VT with a focus in photography, painting and mixed-media.
He presently resides in Madison, WI with a move to Seattle, WA on the very near horizon. The artist will be in attendance.
