mb drapier is pleased to announce the release of Hustling Sunlight, a new project by Matthew Bakkom. Over the course of the last decade, Bakkom has explored the linguistic phenomena of the anagram and offers in this new publication a collection of these linguistic accidents assembled in narrative sequence. This evening will feature apresentation detailing his process in conceiving and creating the book.

Matthew Bakkom (b. 1968) has been active since the early 1990’s as an artist and organizer in the United States and Europe. Working primarily between Minneapolis, New York, Paris and Madison his projects have been manifested in a variety of mediums and a wide range of venues including Artists Space, The Walker Art Center, The Irish Museum of Art, The Vanabbemusuem (Eindoven) and the Biblioteque des Musee des Arts Decorative in Paris.
His first book, New York City Museum of Complaint was published by Steidl-Miles in 2009.
Since fall of 2011 he has been a member of the facultyof the University of Wisconsin - Madison’s Art Department.
