STUCK IN THE TUB AND STARTING TO PANIC: WORK BY RUBY JEUNE
Exhibition Dates / September 24th-October 15th, 2016
Opening Reception / Saturday, September 24th, 5:00-9:00P

Madison, WI— Drunk Lunch is pleased to present STUCK IN THE TUB AND STARTING TO PANIC, an installation by Ruby Jeune. This exhibition will be on view at 807 East Johnson Street during regular business hours Wednesday through Sunday and by appointment on Monday and Tuesday from September 24th through October 16th, 2016.

Ruby’s work currently focuses on tactile absorption. There is a playfulness in the process centered around texture and vibrant color that functions as the initial draw for the viewer, eventually leading to a quiet and somewhat melancholic experience.

The work featured in this exhibition is apart of an ongoing project entitled good eggs sink to the bottom, stemming from memories of competitive swimming. Solitude beneath the water, alteration of sound, submersion, and full-body tactile experience are all considered in the creation of an exhibition that swallows the audience within it.

RUBY JEUNE is a Minneapolis, MN native but currently lives and works in Madison, WI.
